Privacy: what happens when a student signs in

Dr Khalid MedEdu Hub is the personal teaching website of Dr Khalid Seidi. Students can sign in with Google so that their work reaches their teacher and their progress is saved.

What is collected

• From Google: the student's name and email address only. The website never sees or stores Google passwords.
• Typed by the student: their class and the class code.
• Learning activity: quiz scores, exam-question marks, lessons completed, XP, Bio Coins, days present (attendance) and any feedback the student sends.

Why it is used

• So Dr Khalid can follow each student's progress, take attendance and give feedback.
• To send website scores to the student's Google Classroom assignment as draft grades, which Dr Khalid reviews.
• To restore the student's progress when they use another phone or computer.

Where it is kept

Results are stored in a private Google Sheet in Dr Khalid's Google account. The data is not sold, not used for advertising and not shared with anyone else. Each browser also keeps a local copy of the student's progress in its own storage.

How long it is kept

Student data is kept for the current academic year and then deleted. A student or parent can ask for their data to be removed at any time.

Demo class bookings

When a parent books a free demo class, the form sends the parent's and student's names, year, subject, preferred times, WhatsApp number and any note. These are saved in Dr Khalid's private Google Sheet and emailed to him, used only to arrange the class, and deleted on request.
